How externalPickerId helps

externalPickerId is an external employee id of the store/warehouse staff who picks and packs the order or receives the return shipment.

externalPickerId in Hotwax Commerce helps the store manager get the information of the picker, such as

  1. Payout commission to the picker on the basis of the number of items packed
  2. Payout commission to the picker on the basis of the number of returns received

If employeeId is created by ERP then HC can map it as externalPickerDd.

At the time of order fulfillment, the store manager assigns the picker on the basis of externalpickerid (employeeId).

In Hotwax Commerce, the External id can be found on View Party page.

But externalPickerId is an optional field, if you didn’t want to track picker actions you can skip this field.
