How to configure a Database of a project in the Superset platform

  1. Login to URL: https://tathya.hotwax.io/
  2. Go to Data, select ‘Databases’ from the dropdown
  3. Then click on the “+Database” icon
  4. Select a required database to connect (MySQL)
  5. Enter the required MySQL credentials of the given project - Host, Port, Database name, Username, and Password
  6. Click on Connect.

A database is configured once for each project.

An additional step to set ‘CHART CACHE TIMEOUT’ in advance settings > performance.
Set it for atleast 500 seconds so the previous data does not appear repetitively.
